PAW PATROL SWEEPSTAKES

Each year Spin Master and Nickelodeon collaborate on ways to introduce and engage fans of Paw Patrol (and their parents) in a fun and engaging experience – with perks. This year, the ask was to ideate and create a contest surrounding the show’s newest season, “Sea Patrol.” The goal was to generate buzz and allow users to experience underwater adventures. My responsibilities included ideating the deliverables, developing the creative style, creating the site architecture, wireframe, visual designs, and managing the creation of related PR assets and collateral for consistency.

Leading the charge, I pitched the creative ideas and functionality to both the brand and development team; we aligned on a responsive microsite experience that would easily engage parents but still have that Paw Patrol fun. I created high-level wireframes outlining the content flow, steps, and win conditions.

Style Guide

The Paw and Nickelodeon team create style guides for each Paw Patrol season, traditionally centered around the television shows new theme or toy. However, this year was a chance to introduce them to something new and currently missing from their considerations – a digital style guide. I focused on web-friendly typefaces, colours, and textures, available assets, creation of supporting collateral, and a complete UI kit for the Sea Patrol microsite.

Visual Design

As the sole creative on the project, I was also responsible for creating the final site. For development and brand teams understanding and their approvals, I made Invision prototypes, as well as user interaction videos – showcasing how the site would load in, content movement, and the gameplay animation.
